0.9 T - 40.5 Mhz
max grad 14 Khz/mm
This NMR-scanner uses an electro magnet and is operated at 40.5 Mhz . This scanner has been used to study the reactive transport and gel formation in two-phase systems and porous media,. Therefor it has been adapted to measure also D. It is also used to study the crystallization in porous media. The present setup can accommodate a cylindrical samples with a diameter of 20 mm.
Historical note: This
magnet was for the first time used at the university in 1967 when they
studied a so-called MHD generator. There is still a picture of Prins Claus with
the magnet at the official opening in 1967.
